We enjoyed a morning of strawberry picking last month at Barthel's Fruit Farm with Emily, Brady, and Maddie. It was a perfect day with sunshine and breezes. Charlie definitely ate more berries than he put in the flat, but Abe was such a good helper! It had rained the day before, so I was prepared for mud, but they had hay lining all this rows which made it very comfortable and clean. Emily and I were actually able to chat while we picked as well! We brought home 15 pounds of berries and had a great time!

And what did we do with our berries? Most of them we ate fresh. Many we flash froze to use in smoothies, and some we made into jam.
