Trick or Treat!

We had a fun time trick-or-treating yesterday!  We went to Ryan’s school again, which ended up being especially wonderful since it was raining most of the day.  They do such a good job of decorating and making it neat for the kids; this year a large part of the school was a jungle theme!

Ryan was able to join us since he had just finished up his surgery rotation (woohoo! an incredible experience; we're glad to have another milestone under our belt!) and had his SHELF exam that morning.  I ended up being especially thankful he was able to be there, because Charlie was too big for a stroller in his costume and a bit wild at times since he was free to roam!

Abe the Astronaut (he lost the helmet after about 10 minutes):

Charlie the Dragon (he lost the head after about 20 minutes):

Charlie made out like a bandit!  He was hilarious to watch!  Once he figured out what was going on, he took off to running each room, his little bucket hooked over his arm.  While the older boys politely took a piece, Charlie just reached in and took handfuls (but it was totally okay because he’s so little)!  He literally had twice the candy the Brady and Abe did! Pretty soon his little bucket was just dragging along the floor, but he protested when we tried to help him.

Brady (also a dragon!), Charlie and Abe!

I didn’t get a picture of Maddie, but she was the most precious little cow :)

After the kids make the rounds through the faculty offices, there was a little “party” in the cafeteria with some non-sugary snacks and a few crafts.

Later that night, we carved pumpkins!

It’s hard to believe another October has come and gone!  Now we enter the holiday season full-force!
