Fun Friday

This past Friday was such a fun day!  We started with an early morning trip to the dentist for the boys.  They did so well!  Abe was good to go, but sadly, Charlie has a cavity!  We'll probably put off the filling for a while, as it wasn't too urgent.  Hopefully that give him some time to get a little older...6 months can make a big difference in a 2-year-old!  Or maybe, that's just wishful thinking on my part :\

Cool dudes at the dentist!

After the dentist, we buzzed home to grab some snacks, as I didn't make enough time in the morning, and then we headed to the zoo to meet up with Emily, Brady, and Maddie, and Kathleen, Audrey, and Davis.  It was a beautiful day, but so busy!  Lots of end-of-the-year field trips.

After the zoo the boys took great naps, and Ryan got home a little early--such an awesome surprise!

When they woke up, we got the grill going for some steaks.  We were afraid they had gotten overdone, but when we cut into them, they were perfect.  I'm improving on my seasoning skills (I tend to over-salt), and Ryan is improving on his grilling skills--we're turning into a pretty good team!

The guys grilling....Abe sittin' back in his chair, shades on, sippin' his milk, grillin' out...at one point his legs were crossed, ankle across thigh...cracked me up!

After dinner, we went for a long walk/bike ride down to the school where Abe will attend in the fall--yes, if all falls into place, he will be going to school!  It's a very recent development (we were fully intending to homeschool this year), but that's another post for another time.  While I'm a little sad and will miss him so much, he is completely, absolutely, thrilled!

The boys went to sleep looking forward to the Farmer's Market opening and some rummage sales in the morning.  After they were in bed, Ryan and I had a movie date-night (a free Redbox rental!) to close out the evening.

Such a great day!
