When Ryan wrapped up his OB/GYN rotation, his exam was Tuesday morning, and he was home by 1 PM. We decided to spend the rest of the day celebrating the completion of his rotation!
While the boys napped, we rested, too. After they woke up, we drove up to Holy Hill to hike around and check out the views. Sadly, the tower was closed, but we were still able to see the beautiful buildings and explore the surrounding area. We walked through all the “Stations of the Cross”—stone depictions of Christ’s journey in the hours prior to his crucifixion and death. The boys enjoyed wandering along, finding big sticks and looking for birds.
While we hadn’t planned on going to two places to eat, we had told the boys we could get ice cream. But, by the time we were done, we didn’t realize how late it was and were starving! We swung into Arby’s to grab a bite to eat on the way home and then went on to get the boys their long awaited ice cream cones.
At Arby’s with the puppy dog ears from their happy meal:
At Baskin Robbins:
What a fun and special evening!
