Sledding!

Abe has been begging to go sledding ever since the first snowfall, but the weather just hasn't been quite right. It's either been beautiful but without enough snow to make it worthwhile or plenty of snow and bitter cold! Last Saturday, it was perfect. 30 degrees, partly cloudy, plenty of snow! We all bundled up and headed out to experience our first family sledding adventure.

When we got out of the car, Abe said, "Is this it?!?!" (referring to the hill).

We said, "Yeah, does it look good?"

And he said, "Oh WOW. This is the biggest hill I have EVER seen!" :)

It was a gentle but long hill, and we had an awesome time! Charlie didn't seem to mind the outing, but he didn't seem thrilled about it either...the poor guy could hardly move in all his gear! Abe went down once with Ryan and once with me, but from there on out he went solo. He thought he was pretty hot stuff, going down all by himself on his tummy, no less!

Here are a few photos from our outing:

First time down!

On his own now:

It's hard to see his face, but he was grinning from ear to ear!

Ryan ran down behind him to make sure he stayed on track (which was mostly effective...he did veer off a bit and run through some sticks!)

Sweet Charlie, he was a trooper!
